Journalists for Justice
Journalists for Justice (JFJ’s) is a media project whose work seeks to promote accurate and impactful coverage of international criminal justice stories in the mass media.
JFJ is currently engaged in efforts to help drive informed and timely reportage of the Kenya cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, arising out of the violence triggered by the country’s disputed 2007 presidential election which resulted in more than 1,300 being killed and another 600,000 ejected from their homes.
JFJ’s key goal is to objectively inform its audiences on international criminal justice, especially the Kenya cases at ICC. It seeks to throw light on under-reported areas and give special voice to victims.
JFJ does all these through its various programmes, which uniquely target journalists as a core audience given their pivotal role in dissemination of information.
